Looking to get back into fish keeping

I used to keep oscars and peacock a few years ago, and I'm looking to get back into fish keeping. I was on youtube watching some p.bass feeding videos, and my fish keeping flame was reignited.
So, I'm looking for some type of predator that I can keep in a 50 gal.

I was looking into gulper catfish, but they seem hard to find.

Any suggestions except piranhas would be appreciated. Thanks!

50gal doesnt offer much for "predator" options. Smaller aggressive CA's maybe. Convicts, Salvini, but again 50 will only hold a couple max.

Would a single Gulper be ok in a 50g?

I'm really just looking for carnivorous fish I guess, I like watching them feed.

A gulper would be ok in a 50 but that's the only fish you could have in there. Anything big enough not to get eaten would need a bigger tank than that.

Gulper can easily reach 12ins. Thats way too much fish for 50gals

How about a dwarf puffer biotope?

They are tiny, but lots if personality!
