Looking to get into breeding as a hobby (read)

Might I throw in one of the easiest breeder with minimal space and minimal care...Bristlenose Plecos. (Regular brown, albinos, reds, longfins)

Once they start breeding, it’s constant...some tricks involved. Be happy to share them if interested. Two things I needed most are zucchini and water changes. What I found interesting about these guys is that a breeding colony can co-exist peacefully with multiple batches from fry to fully grown. Not exactly “Monsters” but they are popular with the planted aquarium community.

Just like anything else, you’ll end up with more fry than you know what to do with. Search eBay and you can see these guys fetch a good price. I’ve seen them go for $12 -$30 at LFS.

I've had mine for a few months, and they haven't bred at all. While they were in my 55, they ate my kribs' fry and Amazon sword, though :P

I have came across those as many YouTubers have them in the tanks as well. The question is would I be stuck with them or can I move the pretty quickly?

Everyone wants 'em. According to the guy in my lfs, he moves over 100 a month.
You can keep them in community tanks, goldfish tanks, cichlid tanks, any kind of tank (not with shrimp or mbuna :P ), and I can tell you they are the best algae eater I've had. Better than SAE, better than nerites, the best. They like to chew up driftwood and poop sawdust, though, which is a pain.

That’s really interesting!!!! I always see them at the store but have never asked how many they sell. So you think these guys would do really well with other fish? If so which ones would you recommend?

I wouldn't keep anything that would annoythem if I wanted thm to breed. Kribs and mollies are about the biggest, most aggressive fish I'd keep.
BTW, if you feed them cooked veggies, they don't eat plants.

Now would I need to pull the fry out or are they pretty good in the tank with the parents? My brother just got some mollies from petco:) I may see how his do and see if I want those or Kribs. Do you think mollies are easier to move than kribs or does it depend on the market at the time.
