he didnt say looking to make cold hard cash. he said some extra money to support his hobby. i figured he may be able to breed and sell some fish for a little extra food money/credit or for media, or feeders. no one said he wanted to make a living with his 10g.

What are you talking about? I didn't say anything about making a living from it.
It's just that if he does breed his fish in the 10g tank, he probably needs another tank to grow out the fry in. The lfs isn't going to take 1/10th of an inch fry, he has to grow them out to at least an inch or more first. Ime, it's difficult get a bunch of fry to grow very well in a small tank. Especially with the parents still in it too.
So like I said, if you figure out how to make some cash off a single 10g tank, please share your method. thanx.
ok im abandoning this idea and im gonna wait till i build my pond then start breeding discus (not in the 10gal obviously).
