Yep, that looks like PACU. The Charlotte Observer has another pic that shows the teeth better.

x2 not to mention the rounded mouth. Def a pacu... glad to know the N.C. state game officals have their sh$t straight.. they're about as good at id'ing pacu as state officals in md..

Not to mention how doesn't an ichthyologist know the difference between pacu and piranha.. someone revoke his degree..

i agree, Pacu for sure. plus a pacu has more power in its jaw than a pirana because they eat Nuts and stuff in the wild and they need to be able to crush the shells. so its more likely a pacu left an indention in a knife than a pirana.
