Yep, that looks like PACU. The Charlotte Observer has another pic that shows the teeth better.

i agree, Pacu for sure. plus a pacu has more power in its jaw than a pirana because they eat Nuts and stuff in the wild and they need to be able to crush the shells. so its more likely a pacu left an indention in a knife than a pirana.

Pacu have "molar" like teeth for crushing.
Piranha have shark like "razor" teeth for shredding.
Based on the pic. I'd say Pacu just from the teeth.
