Ive seen the parents they were the only fish in the tank.
I was thinking some kinda recessive gene, not albino though, the eyes are normal . . . . . .
Or some sort of mutation? . . .

It's called a Strawberry Peacock.
Essentially it's an Albino Eureka Red, but with no albino "eyes".

Ive never seen anything like that. Maybe the 1 of the parents wasnt a pure sciaenochromis fryeri.

The females are pretty bland, look a lot like peacock females aside from the longer face. Maybe the female that was in the tank wasnt really a sciaenochromis fryeri.

But he is saying that this came from sciaenochromis fryeri parents.

I don't know what fish go into making these strawberry/dragonblood/firefish hybrids, but I don't think that it involves sciaenochromis fryeri.

The Strawberry Peacock is part of the Aulonocara family.

Ahli's are part of the Hemichromis family.
Can't be Ahli parents.

Strawberry peacocks are still hybrids though.

Hap Ahli's, or sciaenochromis fryei, are haplochromines. Hemichromis are jewel cichlids.

I would say that one of the parents, I am assuming the male, was a sciaenochromis fryei. Look at the body and head shape, looks like a sciaenochromis fryei, except for the color.
