Theyre a channa species.... smaller sized mouth brooders like some cichlids

I know that know, I was just remarking.... just how big are they? must not be too big, you said you have them in a 20G breeder.
 
some channa's aka dwarf snakeheads (gachua, bleheri...) can be kept in smaller tanks. Some of the bigger one micropeltes, argus need at least 150g if not more

Some picks of them breeding would be cool. I am not familiar with that particular breed of snakehead. Sounds interesting.
