Definitely! We're staying at my aunt's house. The part I'm looking forward to the most about this trip is the venture up to Monterey Bay Aquarium.

THATS A LONG HAUL FROM LOS ANGELES :(

also a nice aquarium in long beach and the steinhart in frisco only a couple of hours past montery

Monterey Bay Aquarium is definitely world class! Its focus is more on temperate waters. Worth the drive and it can be crammed into a day and a half (or less) trip.

Long Beach Aquarium is pretty nice and seems more focused on the tropics. You'll see alot of fish you can buy yourself.

If you're not spent then maybe you should go to the San Diego Zoo/Sea World, definitely world class as well.

We're spending a few days in Monterey to see the aquarium and look around the town and surrounding areas. My mom wants to see the Coastal Highway, so it all works out.

I've been to the San Diego Zoo before, very impressive place. I doubt we'll be able to make it down there, but I'd love to see the new baby African dwarf crocodile.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys!
