Can you bet your life it will get better for him? On what basis, and you sure he will have to same outcome as you? Based on what, your assessment of his message board blogs? Are you a doc, because you are giving him medical advise. Does he really already know, and know what? Even if he does, does he know the solution? If so, then why is he still feeling this way? It will get better, right? Until he says he wants to put a gun to his head, and you probably say yeah it will get better.

How old are you? You don't sound old. That's relative and who gives a rat how old you are anyway. It's not about you. If you want it to be start your own thread.

You sound this way probably you got ripped off by professional medical help in the past. Yeah, let's just ban the industry. They just take our money and no help at all.

People change, interests change. I used to be all about cars, then my family came along, and cars just weren't important anymore. If you do get out of fish, think real hard about it. It isn't cheap to get back into it.

Put it on the backburner, you will soon regain interest in it. If you definitely decide to leave, then I call dibs on your tank and fish, okay? :D

This is the way I was feeling a few months ago....

I am not giving up the fish keeping...just staying with what I have and maintaining that. The way my tanks are setup, it only takes me a couple of minutes to feed everything and then I do my water changes every 7-10 days. So, I am able to keep the fish keeping going, while I check out other things. I have hit my plateau of fishkeeping.

sounds like you need to try things more intimidating to you.Something youve wanted to try but was a bit afraid.Surfing is a cure all, even if you suck in the begining you get a good rush and spiritual feeling from the ocean and if you dont live their then try road bikes. You and the open roads, peace and quiet and i wish i could explain the real trance feeling of it and you can push hard on climbs or scare yourself to death on downhill or just glide on straights in a zone of your own.As far as the animals,i think they get more interesting when you start to study their habitats and natives.Brings home the realness of what your keeping.Anyway, good luck.Take your life back,im telling you get out there and shock your system,it works.Your body can screw with your mind and you can fix that yourself.Kick it back into gear and the rest will come.
