Since you don't even have anything setup, you're really not in the hobby in the first place. Plus, you have a lack of interest at this point, therefore once again, you're just not in the hobby. Stop trying to convince yourself or believe that others can help flame a fire that just isn't there. Move on with your life, and if the hobby should reemerge in the future come on back and let us know all about it.
I left the hobby many times in the past 30yrs+, with periods of years of having 0 interest, but something always sparks a flame and I get back into it full of passion and vigor. This time it is different because I now have daily contacts with those who deeply shares my interest(MFK and other fish forums) and that constantly flames my fire and building it bigger. I suppose when you go it alone, there's just more chance of a burn out.
