no, i think Bderick has a beautiful planted tank with a black aro, discus, and cardinal or neon tetras. one of the nicest tanks i have ever seen, no joke

stay monster well dicus get 10" and there huge at the size becuase of there hight there monsters in my book :)

A gr8 challenge would to set up a archer tank with branches set above it for them to shot down crikets!
 
Why don't you go with a single species or multi variant type tank? Like a Calvus only tank, but have white, black, and orange variants? Slow growers, mostly peaceful, and gain value pretty well. Do the tank as close to a natural habitat and spend more money on setting up the tank. Kind of like fixing up a car. Focus on the tank more than the inhabitants? Maybe?
