Losing Passion for My Community Tank

Looks cool, If you don't want sharks a group of or a single pink tail chalceus could work. They grow fast and are pretty zippy fish with amazing scald colouration.

Mine went from 2" to 3.5" in 6 months with light feeding and has really bulked up. I would recommend them :)

I have always had a chalceus in my tanks, I am thinking about trying a large group of the two species together

That's cool, I'll probably be rehoming mine when it hits 8" or so since I don't want it to bash it's nose in in a 48" tank

Those are a great top-swimming fish, and I have had them before. I'm going to try and stick to bala school since I've never seen a large school of full grown fish before. That should be interersting. Plus, I have a chance to save some that have outgrown the 20-gallon petco tanks they are currently in!

That's a nice piece of driftwood.
It's actually two pieces that look very similar, I was going for a flying "V" look, offset from the center of the tank. It provides a lot of swimming spaces and hiding places.

My best top swimmer is an African butterfly, but the pink tail is the biggest and meanest top fish in the tank
