I've had a watchman goby as well as a few wrasses disappear from time to time. i think they just get stuck somewhere and die

I've lost a Pixie hawk, Onyx Clown, and small Blue Tang only to be found months later alive and well in the baffles - and I did say monhs, all are alive and doin' great still.
I think we may have found him. While I was at work today my wife called me to tell me that she had seen it swimming around the tank but when she got up it darted under a rock and hasnt seen it since. Hopefull ill get a chance to spot him when I get home 
So happy to hear the little guys ok! I keep holding out hope that my scooter Benny is an exceptional hider. I haven't seen her for over a month and have broken the tank down since. All the rock out and sand combed. But shoot a girl for hoping, right? Lol

happened to me, I put a volitan in my tank (with 2 damels and a clown) one of the damsels got eatin, he was the "dominant" one so he obv tried to challenge the bigger fish, the other i thought got eatin but was hiding in a rock for over 3 weeks, I was amazed at that. I fed him and saw himj eat after that, but either the volitan or the grouper got him, or he jus perished in the rocks hiding. moral of the story, they can and will hide in the rocks for longer than you think its possible
