Sorry for your loss. A very nice looking shark.

What happened?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was my fault. I got her and my oscar at the same time back when they were under 4" and I've raised them together ever since. They've fought some before but it was never anything serious. Then the other day my oscar just snapped and decided he'd had enough. Lesson learned. Now the O's got the 120 to himself.

Yeah, that's a big downside with both those fish. You never know what you are going to get when they grow up. My big black shark can batter anything, but met her match when my RTGG got big enough. The RTGG had to go at that point and I sold it. I still have anoth RTGG growing at the moment, that'll have to go too if it goes the same. For some reason, black sharks are hard as nails and will have a go at anything, if anything gets the upper had, they turn into pussies and die very quickly from the stress. The RTGG could take a battering everyday and all night long, and not bat an eyelid (if it had eyelids of course), so I wasn't bothered when the aggressor was the black shark.

This happened to me with my 12inch Black Shark and Texas/Jag hybrid. They grew up together for a few years then the hybrid just snapped and I had a dead foot long shark.

Never saw one that big. Very envious, sorry you lost it.
