Lost some fish last night.. /:

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes it did.. I'm saying.. I JUST filled my tank with NEW water.. I wouldn't think the ammonia could spread all over the water in 5 minutes.. so I was wondering how long I should wait after filling my tank up with NEW water to get the most accurate reading for nitrate?

I think it should mix immediately, put a drop of food coloring into a glass of water and see if it takes 5 minutes to mix.

But if you wanna be safe, just wait 15 minutes and there will be no question....

are we being trolled here??

you do know that by adding the new water, you're diluting the nitrates and therefore they will be dropping, right?? If you had 40ppm before you added the new water, it should drop a fair amount when you add new water...

which is why you should do the water change first, wait a few minutes THEN do the test.

Yes I know, but i'm saying i'm hoping my nitrates still aren't high.

And no, lol.. not a troll.. don't even have enough intelligence to troll around here...

I could put my FX5 a little bit more at the surface when I do my WC..
Also can anyone explain why some of my fish died, and not all of them?
annd here's this )': .. even though you guys prolly don't wana see it /:
