  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That totally suck dude!! Nice looking pbass too..

yeh only use the pads on the top or bottom layers!

same thing happend to my fx5, but i had a sump running at the same time, so not as bad.

Did you get microbubbles out of the fx5, as the flow reduced?

Next time I clean the filters again I'm thinking of going with one blue pad, one while pad and some filter floss in just the top area and just use the bottom to for ceramic rings.

No didn't really have any micro bubbles just reduced flow on both filters, which is odd because I stagger the clean about a month apart.

I only use the outer sponges supplied with the filter and the rest is filled with bio media.
My water is always crystal clear.
You should have one filter that is full of bio media and maybe put a fluval polishing pad in the top of the other if you tink you need it.

Sorry for your loss anyway.

i'm with Tim, my FX5 has only the foam rings for mechanical filtration and 2 of the baskets full of bio rings, i thought filling all of the baskets was a little bit of overkill.
