Super nice set up!!! Sometimes adding new fish to the tank can put a hold on your babies.. peat moss, let water params get a little rough, water evaporate out.. bump water temp up.. then add a good amount of fresh clean and cool water.. should turn it onto hyper speed for you man! Nice set up indeed! Where did you pic your tank up at and whats the dimensions?

Nice tank. Id put alot more driftwood and plants tho, the more hiding spots the more comfort the piranhas feel and the more likely they will breed. And peat moss is a terrific idea and can take the place of carbon!

IDK about that man. When I want my fish to breed I remove the tank decor. Having stuff in there way will post pone it. Problem was when I wanted them to stop.. I tried everything even setting decor where their nest were. Nothing will stop them. So once they start depending on how many breeding pair you have, you could get a nest a week or sometimes two nest a week. Every RBP shoal I have done, started breeding even the later ones I tried to keep them from doing it. Be careful what you ask for lol

Well once they establish territory its a diff story, but before and while acclimating i think sufficient hiding places and plant/driftwood serve a good purpose, stressed rbp will most likely not spawn!

Just my opinion, maybe uve had luck, congrats on that!

Yup, everyone has different success with the way they keep their fish. What works for one guy doesn't always work for another guy. There are tons of ways to get them to breed too so no real wrong answer

tank is 8'lx30"tx2' w. i need to stat doing wate changes again.see if that will kick them into gear.in town here seems like no one has any babies for sale.if i could get them to breed id have plenty of places to get rid of them
