1 male per 3 females will work great. Unfortunately, it will be hard to get enough babies growing fast enough to be a steady source of food for your other fish, and you can pretty much forget about making any $$ from selling them. You can expect about $1 for every 20 babies you sell, if not less

Well with 3 tanks, at least 3 for now with 10 females and 2 males each I will get a decent amount of fry. I've never done this before so If I have to use all 6 of the 10 gallon tanks for breeders, so be it. Not really planning on selling them anyway mainly feeders, just was saying if I had some extra I might sell some online or something. But thanks everyone.
yea man what everyone have been saying is great. I have been doing the same but with Convicts becasue they breed easier, they get bigger, they grow faster, and I just like there personalites better. Good Luckman.
You can probably manage a guppy breeding project with 3 of the tanks. And the other 3 you can dedicate to bredding something else, like convicts etc. This way it may be a little more worthwhile for you.
Ya maybe I could try convicts. I've bred them before in my 29. They breed like crazy, Idk. I'll try the guppies first.
I've figured out how much I could potentially get in fry, and it's alot!
If a female guppy can have 50-60 fry(which I hear is what they usually get when their older and mature)and let's be modest and just say 40 live or don't get eaten. With 10 females per tank, that's 400 fry. with 3 tanks of 10 females, that's 1200 every month!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've even being modest too. That's great though lol, my oscar and green terror and my lil sevs will have plenty to eat.
Not sure how i'm suppose to catch the fry though, was thinking of just taking a female out and putting her in one of them breeder doohickey's(anyone know if they work) or just maybe devoting one of the 6 tanks filled with some kind of plant and just putting females in there and the fry can just hid ein the plants, IDK though. How am I suppose to get the fry, I can't obviously have 10 females having fry all over, I'll never get any to use as feeders.

Maybe just have 1 tank dedicated for a place the guppies give birth. Then remove babies and mom after.
iv figured out its pretty pointless with out having a fry tank, i tried to put as much cover as i could in the main tank but it did not help much, started with 15 fry...now theres 2

Well buying the air pump this week. It'll be a Top Fin air pump which says it can be used for up to 125 g. So It should be good. Hopefully it can power all 6 sponge filters but who knows, the pump only cost 19.99.
I will still need 3 heaters, I'm going to buy just three for the fry. I want them to grow fast, and maybe after awhile I will get the other 3 for the breeders but who knows. Won't need any lights. their beside a huge window so were good there, plus 6 lights would be ridiculous in pricing.

Yeah, thats the big problem. Alot of fish eat their eggs/fry. Reason cons are cool is because they are good parents. Buy yeah, with guppies you gotta seperate babies from mom and any other bigger guppies.
