I highly recommend them.A very interesting species to keep in a group,as are all thorichthys housed this way.

I just need more wood and plants. And a source of these cichlids. I should ask at the lfs next time i go

They are only just over an inch at the moment, I'm looking forward to watching them develop.
I have four of these but will be adding another four soon.

Two pairs,both with spawns either side of the rocks.I love to see pairs Gill flare and warning each other off.

Very nice. I must admit I have a soft spot for firemouths and they're my wifes favorite. I've been wanting to do a big group for awhile.

I've always liked firemouths, just lately I am obsessed with all thorichthys and can't imagine not keeping them.

That's the trouble with fish keeping,there is always a compromise.

Those meeki are already showing some decent color for being so small. My mixtecos still basically look white.
