Thanks all, yep the firemouths are a breeding pair, produce about every 2 months on average, although they did go through a patch of producing every 2 weeks for about 4 broods.

Sorry couldn't resist positng these pics I took the other night when the tyre track showed himself.I'ved had him about 1.5years, started out at literally the size of a worm when I got him but had an awesome pattern so I couldn't resist, another of the fire eel aswell...

Oh and he's now 21" and CAN'T fit in 1.5" tube currently I need to upgrade his 50mm tube which is a little length and width!
