  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the pictures were used by permission and represent the fish that i have aquired. because of the rarity of these species in the states it would have been real hard to show what i expect them to look like with out using some ones pictures.the blue bar are de stressing it seems rather qiuckly and ill post some pic with in the week
mine are not yet adult size, they are 1.25 in to 1.75 in. and some what stressed since they made the trip from over seas, i will update on all species, at this time they are all being held in bare quarintine tanks, as i do with all new arrivals to make shur they are healthy and free of parasites, and get them established on thier new diet. for now they are being fed flakes and some glass worms. kept at a ph of 8.0 dont know hardness, temp of 78, each quarenten tank is 20 gal. they will remain in them for at least 1 month.i have recieved many pm with these wanting to know where to get them. be patient and the fry will come available. as you see i dont move them along to fast. first thing is health and make shur there are no deformities and irregularities, deadse free and eating well. they were in bags for almost a week to get them to me from over seas. im not loosing my investment and it will take time. but in the mean time it will be lots of fun to share the process with you all. stay tuned.

That's great. Can't wait to see the progression of your fish.

yes we are all looking forward to your fish and your info.... good luck

hopefully it will be all our fish. im fairly big on captive propagation of threatened and rare species, with the status of lake victoria and fast decline its even more important that they be preserved within the hobby at least. and with funding deacreasing in zoos for these species we have almost a responcibility to share our expierances and the fish as well. just like the kyoga flame backs that some have dedicated tanks and time to here in this section, my hats off to you!!
