Love my garden hose

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have something like this on my sink in the basement, except it's plastic, and green, and I can run 2 hoses off of it, or leave a hose on 1 side, and the spigot on the other.

Ya, thats kinda what I have in my basement behind my washer.. I updated my post to show what I did in the basement. I used the same thing but only place I had water was behind the washer. So I took two of those type adaptors and put one on the cold and one one the hot. Still allowed me to keep the washer hooked up so the wife is happy and then that left me an open side of the adaptor still for cold and hot, I added a rubber Y to them and it goes down to one outlet now. Easy to keep a hose hooked up. And since those type adaptors we have have a on/off valve, makes it easy to turn water on and control the temp I want..

I have a 5 gallon bucket that I drain my water into, and it has clear tubing attached at the bottom, so it drains right into my sump. :P

Ya, that works to.. Makes it easy and fast..
Since I have 15 tanks in the basement and 10 up on the main floor, I had to make it easy for me since I am the only one that takes care of the tanks..

I took a pump, mounted it to a board and added hooks to it so it will hang on the side of the tank I want to drain.
There is two hoses on the pump. One that goes into the tank, and one long one that goes out the front door or if Im draining basement tanks, I just put in the floor drain.
Its fast and easy..
Then I use my faucet or basement hook up to fill it all back up.

Thats just for my freshwater tanks..
Saltwater is a different thing..
I have the same kind of pump for the saltwater tanks, but I have to use buckets to refill since all my saltwater is premixed in a 55 gallon drum.
