LSU doing it big

No, I LOVE football. I UNDERSTAND football. If you cant appreciate the complexities of the Bama and LSU's defenses then you are not a football fan.

Being that good at defense is much more challenging then being good on offense. That is why the saying "Offenses win games, defenses wins championships" is so true.

Saying that, I am pretty sure there is going to be more points scored in this game. Alabama shot themselves in the foot too many times in the red zone but moved the ball pretty well against LSU. LSU now knows that the option with Jordan Jefferson is effective against Alabama but found that out too late in the first game.

lol, it's a bit silly to downplay someone's passion for football just because they aren't a fan of low scoring games. personally, i don't see their defense being as complex as you're making it out to be. it's well know that the better athletes in the SEC are usually on defense where as most other teams are still putting them on offense.

for example, i LOVE baseball and as a former pitcher myself (obviously not at the professional level) love defensive struggles because i understand what those men pitching just went through and how awesome the defense behind him had to perform. however, i understand that most people would perfer a high scoring games with a few HRs. i don't think they're any less passionate or don't understand the game just because they don't appreciate a low scoring game.

i agree defense wins championships in college football but people would still rather see a good offense attempt to battle LSU's or bama's defense then watch them struggle against each other again because no one considers either one of their offense's elite

got some BAD NEWS,new ASU coach JUNE JONES . are you kidding me,poor mans version of the last retread, DENNIS (never done ANYTHING outside of MIAMI )ERICKSON

This is worth repeating. GEAUX TIGERS and SAINTS!
you guys are KILLIN me, wish I had a team worth rootin for ,well at least the CARDINALS have won 4 of 5 lol

you play cupcakes all year (not their fault, they didn't make the schedule), blow them out and then finally play a ranked team and get blown out.....you should drop MORE THEN 12 spots. we can't possibly know if they're good or if they just had a pretty sweet schedule.

my point about 28 points.....28 points will get you a win in the SEC most weeks, it won't in the rest of the conferences. plus....the team averages 50 points! they play one ranked team and boom, 22 points below your average and suddenly it's the defense's fault? The D did their job, kept them below what they normally score lol. houston and case's stats majorly benefitted from that weak schedule, atleast boise played Georgia and TCU.

ps, did case have a bad game or not? first you said he didn't, now you're saying we won't know if they'd have "another bad game" against other ranked teams? i thought he played just fine, it's the standard of the competition that got better, not case getting worse
You should be able to win if you score 28 points on offense. Sometimes you just have below average games. I don't think he had a bad game...don't recall ever saying that. I don't feel like looking back at everything I said. Bottom line, Houston needed better opponents to say for sure how good they were but I still can't see dropping that many points with a loss almost no matter who it was against, but you should drop more than 1 spot for losing to anybody...just IMHO. I still think that Case is a better QB than Luck...guess we'll see. We'll have another chance to see where Houston is at when they play PSU and next year when they join the Big East with BSU and others. A lot of success transitioning into the pro's has to do with the team you get drafted to, so it's hard to compare, though. Honestly, I'm tired of talking about it now...call it copping out or whatever you'd like.

I want to know why you think the Bama/LSU game is boring? Last time I checked, real football is played with 11 players on the field, not 7 on 7 with a few worthless guys in the middle.

Watching the genius that is the defenses of Alabama and LSU is very rewarding for true football fans that understand the game.
not sure what you're talking about

that's fine, but you have to have a good offense, too.
