I think you missed what I was saying. I was just trying to say that both the Tide and LSU have only decent offenses. I dont think anyone would say they have excellent offenses. However, they both have the best defenses in the nation and they are in the NC game where as the explosive offenses of the previously mentioned teams are not in the big game.

i think the argument about lsu and bamas opponents could also be reversed....can't someone also argue that those teams they beat still put up more points against them then they did each other?
plus having a GREAT defense that puts you in short field position constantly and contributes a few TDs here and there themselves doesn't make for a great offense. the stats don't lie, their offenses are just alright, not elite. you're a homer if you think they're elite

May be your definition of a good college game but still boring as hell. I guess there are no boring games in the NFL by your definition?
no I got it .my point is offense is only 33% of the game. teams like OAKIE ST. and eugene high School play such BAD defense that they gotta play their best game just to be competitive. when the score is 6-3 1 play can win a game for you. when your behind 27 -10,because your defense couldnt catch a cold if they were trapped in a bucket with it, it puts too much pressure on your offense.
Eugene high School? funny, ScOregon hasn't fallen behind big in years. back to back to back conference titles, 2 rose bowls appearances, 1 national title appearance. this is with low level recruits, not the 4 and 5 star recruits USC has all throughout their line up. i'm not even an oregon fan but give props where it's due man. Stanford and Scoregon are the only thing keeping the pac 12 relevant right now. we'd be weaker then the WAC or Conference USA if not for those two teams while usc was on probation.
i'm sensing jealousy of the ducks recent success. so what that they're known for scoring alot of points, it's not like their D has been blown up in the last 3 years either. all those losses were lower scoring games, not blow outs. somehow it's the defense's fault though?
