i think the top pic is from a year ago jp, an it looks like a 10incher.

I saw that but it's not as accurate as the measurement in the second picture. I thought bomber might had an exact measurement just didn't have a picture of it.

Nice looking stunner Bomber. I'm jealous.

that's nice how you get it so big so quick? I got this 1pcs 7" Black rhom and its grows soooo slow got any tricks?

50% water changes x2 a week
powerfeeding at the start for size *variety is key
treating for parasites

This is what I did to beef up lucifer

If u want measure a fish thats fine but there is a proper way to do it. Putting a fish on a towel is shows your a total amateur. Great way to take off all the protective slime coat which helps the fish fight against disease, injury and infection.

This is how I measure my fish now. Although I have heard about plating them but never tried "yet".

Guess i am an amateur. Show us how "you" measure fish.

Eh, could've been said nicer and a proper way to size fish would've made the comment worth while.

Kudos on a great looking P, man!! As well as taking criticism in stride, says alot about you and your dedication to the hobby. Personally I've always seen measurements taken pretty much the same way, or thru the tank. I'm curious as to what other ways there are to measure a fish accurately. I imagine removing the fish and plating them would also stress them and affect their slime coat. I personally try my best to use a yard stick and eyeball the suckers through the tank. I imagine I'm not off by more than an inch or two and those kind of discrepencies don't bother me. Plus all my fish associate me with food and show little to no fear of me, so they come to the front when ever I get close making it fairly easy to eyeball. With all that said I don't think you did anything horribly wrong, but would like to hear the other method that was mentioned. I guess I'm a amateur as well, but one who enjoys being enlightened. Again great lookin' P!!!
