Crenicichla sp. Xingu II

Cincta get additional spangles on their tails along with the single ocellate spot, they are also a much bulkier species than your pike (even when cincta are young they are bulky).
Vittata have very distinct appearances as juveniles.
Could be a lugubris if those bars appear only when the fish are flared up, but since you assumed it was cincta, I would presume that those bars are a consistent pattern

Thanks. Yes these stripes are consistently there . Sometime when they flare a long grey horizontal stripe appears on side if the body.
