I have a small fancy that I saw today has a lump on the right side only behind the gills and in that area the scales are raised a tad, NO WHERE ELSE on the body. She eats swims everything 100% normal. Few months ago I had a small red cap oranda that had that, which spread elsewhere and ultimately killed it. Waters clean as it should be so its not the problem. I put some kanaplex in, dont have anything else stronger, so what am I looking at? I dont need another death if I have the wrong kind of medication or going at it the wrong way. Size wise she is maybe 4" with tail, bought her when she was 3/4" long, some kind of low grade ryukin.

FIrst pic is of her LEFT NORMAL side.

The other 3 pictures will show the raised area right behind the gills.

Can’t see what you’re taking. About but if it looks like a lesion it may be koi/carp pox which is contagious through fish and is the fish herpevirus basically

If this is what you're talking about to, then it looks like a start of dropsy. Not an expert but kno4te kno4te Rocksor Rocksor might help

See it but not sure. No pineconing. Looks more like something it developed. Could be something it’ll have to live with.

Masked, to the left on your blue circle. Puskar, you got it thats the spot. For the life of me she wont let me take a good pic of the right side, but lets me take all the crystal clear photos of the left side I want.

I had a baby oranda start out with something like this months ago then died. I bought this fish when it was .75" long, if nothing can be done then thats a nail bitter!
