Lyonsi or Escondido Carpinte for my tank?

I love the Escondido Carpintis, but you need some color in that tank so I went with a Lyonsi on the poll

I have a breeding pair of lysoni and to me nothing beats their breeding colors,and they are very docile for amphilopuos,i have a batch of fry right now(about 1-1.5 inches)

Could I do a breeding pair of Lyonsi with the GT in a 100 gal? I have no idea how agressive these get when breeding. But I figure a breeding pair from Rapps would be awesome. How hard are they to pair off or are they like cons? Think I can get a pair out of a group of 5, or would that be pushing it? And how small should I get them if I want to pair them off? Rapps has 2-2.5"ers, 3-3.5"ers, and 4-4.5"ers. I was thinking about getting 5 of the 3-3.5"ers as they are about the same size as my GT.

If I can do this, I'll likely give the JD to a good home. But I refuse to get rid of the GT, he's going to be a stunner.

i got two pairs out of six,grew them out from 3.5 inches and let them pair off themselves

Id say keep the JD and get a lyonsi. Cant beat a fish with a good personality

Love the male escondido's. I had a 9" male that was a beautiful fish. Can't catch them down south on a pole though.
