i want one lol cant say i have ever seem one before really nice pickup the pattern and color of it remind me of a spotted pim i love it

Wow, that's an incredibly pretty cat. Up there with a tigrinus in terms of cool blue patterning imo.

Nice pickup. I bought one of these early this year(I think) when jeff first got them in at 4-5in and he started off growing slow then hit a growth spurt and is now 15-16in. Definitely a monster catfish with a monster appetite.

And another one succumbs to vulture fever.... I've had a pair, named Gull and Gunn because they were like barbarians :) Miss them a whole lot.

Good luck, Cliff.

Thanks! I've actually wanted one of these(and every other catfish species) for years now. :) When I was a kid I would read catfish books and never thought I would get to own and raise these amazing fish. Anything you'd like to report on them? :) I think I'm gonna call mine spot.

Outrageous eaters. Inquisitive. Active. Quirky. Interactive. Never a problem in tanks full of other 50 or so catfishes. Had them from about 6" to maybe 10". Lost them during the move to FL.

To see more natural behaviour, I believe, a school and a huge tank is needed. They shoal throughout their entire lives.

Yeah mine has been trying to swim with the ID shark as much as possible, and he will go and oust the Sun cats to see if there is any food in their refuge. Then the big sun cat chases him around. Reminds me of my old big hybrid the way he follows you with his eyes and comes up to the glass when you get close.
