Macrognathus ID help?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes in Spokane-Post Falls area

Wet Spot gets a lot of unusual fish. You can subscribe to their email list and they'll send one every Friday after they update their stock list. For me it's a fun read (they highlight different species) but it's also a reminder to look and see what's new there. They bold their new arrivals so it's easy to do a quick scan. :)

They'll put you on a waiting list for a fish, which I've done a couple of times, but I've personally found that I'll see the fish I want on their list way before they call me, which often means I can grab something before they all get snatched up.

ya but aren't they in portland?

Yeah, they ship all over the US all the time! They're actually a well known vendor here on MFK. So to Spokane I wouldnt' think it would be that expensive to ship compared to like the east coast.

They actually shipped some of my fish for me to other MFK members when I took a tank down during a move. Everyone arrived safe and sound.

Wet spot does have some nice Asian eels in regularly on their list. Never fails to grab my attention.

Nice video. I never tire of seeing greedy little half banded eels chowing down. He is tiny!...but not for long the way he's eating.

Here's a video of last night's feeding - he was out in the mix, not deterred at all by anyone else. I'm happy to see that as it seems that many new spIt certainly doesn't behave how I read that peacocks tend to. Still have not seen it burrow either.

This kuhli loach is a good size reference, but he's also a HUGE fatty, about 7-8 years old.

what really did it for me reference wise was the cory that looked like one of my 12" plecos in comparison to that little guy

Do they eat snails? This guy keeps digging up my MTS and it looks like he's at least trying to eat this one, which is the white thing he digs up and is a pretty big one compared to him. Ha

You can skip ahead to around 45 seconds for the digging. :)
