he has been housed with this fish for 5 months since I put him in the tank with him never had one problem

here's an analogy any guy will understand....if you had a super hot roommate that you lived with for 5 months and one day she tell you, she wants to do you. Wouldn't you do her? Same logic with the fishes no? Maybe during those 5 months, the peacock wasn't sure if he can eat the pleco or not, then now he decides he's hungry and he can fit the pleco into his mouth. done deal......
