Made a filter

I don't know the first step about building my own filter but I'd like to. I love building/assembling new things. This seems like a great way to save some money, a good learning experience, and hopefully end up with a really good filter. Maybe I will try building a mini version for a cracked 10g tank that I have.. Is there a step by step you followed on making something similar to this or did you just know what you were doing?

i kind just made it up as i went. after seeing a few other people online make them. its pretty simple, all you need to do is make the top tray a drip plate by dilling a bunch of holes then the next is the bio media, for the bio media i just cut the whole bottom of the tray out and used an egg crate to stop the scrubbers from falling out
