Ah, makes sense. I thought your comment had to do with what I said about the biowheels getting stuck.

Ok, well not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I need the sump so I can get about another 30 gallons total of water since I have two Oscars, otherwise I'd keep the current filtration which is actually doing a good job.

I'm probably still honestly looking at draining the whole thing and starting over with a better idea of how it all works. I think I'm on the right track though.

None of this is really to scale but this is my idea for using most of the stuff I already have to make it work right. I'm thinking about keeping my Fluval but putting it in the sump along with my two 250 watt Stealth heaters. They're rated at 75 gallons each so I am hoping two will be good for 75g tank + 30g sump.

Sorry, just thinkin' out loud at this point.
