Ha ha. I browse all forums (pertaining to CA/SA cichlids). I don't discriminate. I like to learn. They all have pluses and minuses.

This forum has a lot of members. That's good. This forum is quite active. That's good. Lots of the activity is meaningless dribble. That's not so good.

I give (mostly) correct knowledge freely, but don't like to put up with stupidity and post whoring, and to me this topic is both.

That's actually a big compliment to me from cchhcc, as he knows much more than I from what I've read on other forums.

I'm not sure why I'm even defending myself, as I'm not even posting much at all anymore as I have to wade through a lot of crap to find topics where people are even asking a question I can answer (that already hasn't had 15 people saying the same thing one after another).

The whole "OMG MFK is teh bestest!" mentality over here has gotten a bit old to me as well I guess. *Shrugs*

I browse lots of forums too some good and some bad but i still don't go to them slagging off the members in their open forum, its called courtesy and when it all boils down to it manners.
These principles were born out of knowledge, knowledge given to me by my parents when i was young.
You see we do have some knowledgable people here after all, even if it is just manners.

This site isn't bad. There are a lot of good people who are really asking good questions. And there are several members who know there stuff a lot better than I do.

The topic wasn't started out of a question, it was simply a conversational subject. Therefore, you could have just skipped over it. You didn't have to wade through anything. I have trafficed other sites as well, and let me tell you, the amount of visitors here IS beneficial, no matter how you look at it. I have left QUESTIONS on other sites for a few days with only 2 or 3 responses, and not even answering the question. Simply put, and I've said this before to people thread jacking and criticizing.....if you don't like the subject, don't read, and don't comment.

You've got to admit, for being the most active fish forum on the net most of it is irrelevant things like this. Active and quality are two different things.

Though it's entertaining to drop in every once in a while and read up.

i put in bold what i what is pretty much slagging the site off, that little statement if read between the lines just basicaly screams why would i post here when nobody has a clue anyway.

I really think you guys are going overboard with this...... There is a great deal of sniping on this site --- just check out any of the stocking threads! That doesn't make it right, though, but you shouldn't single out MM.

It seems that there is more and more tension on the site since I left a month and half ago.... Yes Modest is right that we have some people that are complete idiots on this site that I avoid their threads, but modest There are some great people I have found on the site that are extremely intelligent and I enjoy conversing with them but you have to relize there are ignorant kids on here that don't listen and are idiots. Mbunafishkeeper is by all means not one of those people. He definately is a smart person. So what he made a thread that has been repeatedly put on the forum I am sure you put out one or two dumb topics. I know have but I try to make it original as possible but you have to relize there are 22,000+ people on this site there is bound to be repeativeness on the site. Some people even post the same threads again and again because they can't get it the first time so they decide to make a new thread talking about the SAME THING. See those are the people you should be getting after not Mbuna because I rarely see any dumb threads by him. You are a smart man Modest because I have read alot of things by you that are full of Knowledge and very informational so just keep at that and dont post on threads you don't like. As for you GodsDead666 just get off the damn site!!! If you don't like it and post here for giggles and hahas to bust peoples balls then just go we don't need you here and you have NOTHING to offer. You've been here a month and already complaining. I have been on the site for almost 2 years and no Complaints because I learn to ignore the Idiots. You need to check yourself on who you talk to and what you say. Yeah this site has it's problems but either deal with it or LEAVE!!
