I thought I had lost one of my peacock gudgeon. I only have 2 of them, and I didn't see him for a whole week and I looked and looked, couldn't find him. Then today as I finished a water change in the tank...hehe there he was!

This is my "happy tank" so it's nothing but peaceful cute fish, no monsters or anything. I have named all my tanks lol...anyone else do that?

My Syno. nigrita is like a ninja. He can disappear for weeks if you don't purposely look for him. I was off at school so my dad was feeding my fish and I did the major maintenance when I was home, but I completely forgot about the syno for probably 3 months until I took out everything to swap substrates and there he was. lol When I had a bunch of tanks set up, I had primarily biotopes so they just had "names" like the CA cichlid community, Amazon planted tank, Lake Tang. tank, Thailand planted tank, fry growout, Q-tank, etc. Right now I just have my main tank and my other tank that is holding a few fish who don't get along with the others until I get my tanks upgraded

i have a banjo cat that always hides and i think got eaten!

Funny how we forget our fish that always hide.lol I also completely forgot about my raphael cat until it showed up one day while I was feeding my loaches.:D My starry woodcat (Trachelyopterus galeatus) is doing this right now as this one is just nocturnal.:(

I "lost" a talking catfish (Agamyxis pectinifrons) for over a year! I did a clean out on the monsters 300g and there he was. I put him in a 55 6 months ago and have'nt seen him since. He's only about 3".

I had an incident like this happen with a bumblebee catfish, which we thought was dead for weeks

ive had this happen with me heaps of times, especially with clown loaches, there the kings of hiding!
