Finally got around to trying to make some of my own food, thought I'd share my recipe, I will also post on how the fish like the food. after I have a chance to try it

1 Kilo Frozen Peas
1 bunch of spinach
1 bunch of kale
2 medium carrots
2 small cloves of garlic
450 grams of prawns shell and all
3 tilapia fillets
2 packets of liquid gelatin

blened it all up, a bit at a time, mixed it all together
and spread it on tray, it goes in the freezer, and when solid enough into ziplock bags, later to be cut and served. It made this tray, plus a smaller one

nice job.. sounds and looks like hippie food so its got to be good for fish

what type of fish are you feeding it to

good first go, here's some thoughts for the next round

pinch of paprika: it will add niacin
about 100g of chicken liver. It will add those good liver oils that fish need.
banana: potassium and magnesium. Hint: if you have plants, add more of this... lots more.
brine shrimp: Do it on the cheap, grow your own in a mason jar... makes for healthy filler.
Boiled Egg: the yolk specifically

Thanks for the Tips, I had thought about fruit but wasnt sure of which ones to go with
I will try banana and paprika next time,
I was trying to avoid mammal meats do you think cod liver oil would have similar nutrients to the chicken liver, I have heard of people using that as well

I should mention part of doing this was to keep cost low, here is a break down
1 Kilo Frozen Peas $3
1 bunch of spinach $2
1 bunch of kale $2
2 medium carrots ?(had them)
2 small cloves of garlic cheap?
450 grams of prawns shell and all $10 (probably could find cheaper)
3 tilapia fillets $6 for 5
2 packets of liquid gelatin $3.50

Probably about $30 total

I had thought about multivitams $10?
Spirulina powder $30
Cod liver oil $10
with all of these you get more than enough for one recipe

but these things start to make the cost really high
If I make it more regularly it might make sense, because the cost would be spread out over several batches, I will be test feeding shortly...

Yeah I was thinking about doing something like that for my piranhas, very interesting! I hope they enjoy it!!
