Made some slight changes to the 150g

Limestone would fit the bill nicely and would look great.
Think I would be inclined to add some branches too,coming in from above to help fill the upper half.

Exactly what I was thinking, more rocks maybe but branches coming from the top would give some good visual interest in that part of the tank. Maybe coming from the left side to hide the filter intake - double duty.

I want to do something about that intake. One thing I need to do is replace the hoses. The intake hose is too short, and that is why it sticks out like that. I would like to get it lower. I also want to add a filter, probably a power filter because my hospital tank is under the 150g

Thanks, yup. Tried live plants, but the deppii and rainbow ate everything but hornwort. I have fake plants, but didn't like them. Some trapped waste and some were falling apart. Didn't really like the look of those fake plants either.
