Madness's Festae beginning to spawn

It has been 4 long months trying to get these 2 to spawn again. FINALLY, it is happening.

Congratulations bro!! Very nice male you have:) where did u get them?good luck with the fry, I have day old wrigglers now:) very exciting to watch. I bet its hard to get away from this tank lately lol

I bought them from another local hobbyist. I really do love the male, the female is nice too, but I really like the barring in the female and my female has none. She does have deep reds, oranges, yellows and greens, but know bars.

They have been having monitored visitation for a long time now. Then overnighters. ;) Then he was able to hang for a while as long as he played nice. He was just about to get separated again for constantly chasing her everywhere, but he wasn't hitting her or biting so I held off. Then yesterday saw tubes dropping, and the rest is history. :)

So today they are getting a small water change, and a high 5. :cool:

yup same thing i went thru with mine. definitely spawning behavior, it is frustrating cause neither of us want to lose a fish to aggression and trying to decide how long to let it go is the fun part;) lol
