Very soon. I am trying to find him a WC female with the big lips.
He killed his first female. I have a WC barred blue Devil female I thought about putting with him, but not sure of what the fry may look like.. Not sure I want to find out. 
Well, I had to remove the male. 
He was starting to beat up on the female. He is now sharing my 210 with my RTM's and Freddies. Didnt realize how big he was until he swam past my 11" RTM female. She is a beast, and he is bigger.
So mom is left in the 135 to care for her young.

neat dude! where do you sell the fry once they are ready to go? local? seems like there are alot of cichlid guys in the pacific northwest area lol , i used to live/work in tacoma for a few years, love the area.

Thanks MSC. They sure frustrate the hell out of me sometimes. Like now. I have so many different pairs of several different families. Amphs, Parachromis, Vieja, Paratheraps, ex Cichlisoma, Caquetaia, Cryptoheros, Herichthys, Thorichthys, Astatheros, and all of them have been great parents once they have spawned. This Festae male is an ass except when fertilizing the eggs. I am sure that it is just my male, and I am sure all of you have experienced a male of a different species that is the same way. I am just frustrated with this guy. I love watching my parents interact with their young. But this guy just doesnt want to hang with her. So instead he now is hanging with my RTM's and Freddies.
