just out of curiosity, does any use anything in between the magfloat for acyrlic tanks or just use it as is.

i use fine filter pad cut to size, it cleans better, much better actually.

I don't think it scratches. I got the idea from R1. I an easier time to clean the tank. no visible scratches on the tank.

i use the one for the wet/dry filter pad. i think they are around 19.95-24.95 on a bag measuring around 5 x 10 ft.

On drsfosterandsmith.com there were two magfloats, one for glass and one for acrylic. I wouldn't use the normal one, which I'm assuming is for glass "as is" on acrylic..

Ah. I don't have acrylic so I had no idea, I just remembered seeing one specifically for acrylic when I was shopping on that website.
