Mag Supreme Drive 24 Pump, some Qs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think im going to put a small pump in each overflow that will pump the water up and out through PVC. the PVC will bring the water to a spraybar over some rubbermaid bins w/ holes drilled in the bottom with mech n bio filtration inside, then the water will go through that and flow back into the tank.

Much better option.

i cant build a stand because i dont have the time or the money right now, was thinking about selling this tank but i got it for so cheap i figured i should keep it and set it up simple.. i need to do it quick for my oscar in the 55, i dont want him to start to slow his growth.
im just going to use some cinderblocks to raise the tank up off the floor a bit for better viewing, couldnt figure out a way how to get the overflow PVC in there w/ the cindrblocks.
i really do think using 3 pumps will be impossible, so i thought about something else last night.

i want to get a Mag pump, but im not sure the Mag7(700 gph each overflow, lowest ill go) will fit in there.
does anybody know of any small, but efficient and lasting pumps?

add a few more cinder blocks and just plub the overflows to a sump.... my 90 was on a cinderblock stand for a year and i had no porblem using the overflow.... do it your way and there will be a massive failure.... just plumb the tank how it was meant to be or seal the holes and use HOB or canister filters....

:iagree: Keep it simple

He's already stated he's not going to pump down now. He is now thinking of pumping up and letting gravity take over. It will work just fine.
