I'm curious - how do you plan to get them?

With regard to water, I can't imagine that they'll be worse than earthworms...only thing I can think of is to make sure there's no bad chemicals.

best way i guess but what food to attract the flies lol and thats healthy for the fish too ??

Ther wont be any in the winter time unless u got some house fly's.

I assume that like many insects maggots are probably quite nutritious. If I could easily buy them more affordably than other foods for my fish I might try them. My problem with the whole maggott thing is that I dont want to do what it takes to hunt down or grow maggots. Just doesnt seem hygienic. And quite honestly, maggots are one of the few things that really gross me out. Maggotss and clowns give me the creeps.

I also feed superworms, red wigglers, moths, crickets and other bugs (none of which I would personally eat)

I say super worms or meal worms r rlly easy to breed the beetles cant egt lose and its so much easier i think packerfan has a big thread on meal worms!
