maggots....

PetsMart sells canned fly larvae (which are maggots) along with canned river shrimp, crickets, dragonfly larvae, etc. My fish just LOVED them but it really creeped me out throwing maggots in their tank. Yack. I would suppose fresh maggots would be good for them, too, if you could get past the idea of feeding it to them lol
 
If youve got a woman thats ok with you raising flies/maggots in your home - KEEP HER! If you dont have a woman......... maybe drop the whole maggott thing.

I found a ton of maggots (like 50+) about a month or two ago in one of the trash cans I use for water changes that was left outside. I thought about feeding them to my fish but I didn't know whether they had been exposed to chemicals so I just killed them and threw them away.
 
well i think my leaving a bowl of mince out for a day or two is ok lol but ehh you can only try..!!
and the smell ehh who cares ill get over it :)

Use stale rice not meat, meat tends to attract predatory insects like wasps and yellow jackets. I believe you have issues with these nasty little buggers down there.

im always at home so my fish keep me busy so do my huskys
my huskys just watch my fish because they like eating them lol
i lost one of my silver dollars today to my white husky
she likes to put her whole head in the bucket and dart in n out of the bucket/ blows bubbles with her nose to get toe fish to run into her mouth lol ....
