Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet...maggots are an old fishing staple. I'm sure there are some sporting good stores around there that still sell them.

True. We used to use them for fishing years ago. Once they had obtained a decent size we then kept them in saw dust to keep them clean. Nothing wrong with feeding these.

yeah i mean its a non-poisonous bug, fish would love them, i just wouldnt be able to stomach that maggots GROSS me out, especially the big ones (not small fly maggots i dont know what these are from) that you find when you are gardening UGH, mealworms, worms, crickets, grasshoppers i can handle, roaches and maggots are just to gross for me to handle

i buy maggots in my bait shop, whey cheaper that you think,my fish love them,i just wash them first, the growth rate is really different,i had a batch of cutteri fry around 70,i put 20 in a grow out tank and fed them maggots when around 1 inch they where double the size of the other batch of cutteri,i dont know why people are creaped out by these, the irish military makes you eat them, taste lovley with herb or whatever grows near:D

lol...

If you eat farm raised fish/seafood... guess what they are eating.....:WHOA:;)

It's probably in the food you give your fish now....

FYI
Maggots have almost 4X the protein of Earthworms...
