Has anyone used the manium 350 canister filter with the bio wheels? Ive never used a canister filter. I have only used wet/drys on my tanks, But I just picked up a 75 gal. tank that came with a magnium canister filter for $15. I couldnt go wrong for the $15, but This tank doesnt have a corner overflow. Im thinking of just using the canister filter that came wit it and putting a few of my smaller ciclids in it. Is this filter enough filtration, or should I just toss it and hook up a hang-on overflow and use a wet/dry???

i have one it works good but i would add a hob filter to your tank for extra filtertion

I'd use it, I use a 350 on my planted 75g. its like 15 years old and going
strong. I fill mine with poly fiber.

Do they sell replacement bio wheels? The canister filter that I have came with the 2 bio wheels on the return line, But one of the wheels are missing. I havnt seen these at the pet stores. Are they available.

I have a magnum 350 on all my tanks over 55 gallons. Great canister, specially for the price, and add the bio-wheels, and you have great bio filtration. add a HOB for piece of mind, especially if your gonna stock heavy, or reduce water changes

you can go to any petsmart they sell the wheels...

yep...definatly a good system...Personally I'd pick up an E280 (Emporer to go with it but buy it on line...don't pay Petsmart prices for it lol.

with a few smalll fish the filter is fine all by its self...I'd say opposite side of tank add a hydro sponge save the money and buy another fish;)

I have 2 350's on my 90gal. They keep the water crystal clear. When the tanlk was heavily stocked it kept up just fine. Now that the tank only houses my jag (temporarily) it is more than enough filtration.
