You misunderstood what I typed. I already have the Penguin Bio Wheel 170 filter and am going to buy the Magnum 330.

yes it will but you still have to do regular water changes..its a good deal for 25 bucks by the way...the 330 was built good i have one sitting that i use to use years ago

I know the 350 take's 5/8" I.D. but I don't know about the 330
