I was setting one up today on a grow out tank, then it started leaking water. So I say f this and went to buy a marineland 350. The HOB kind.

maybe you put the gasket on wrong

i have 1 running on my 240 gallon tank that my parent used when i was around 10 to 12
i am 25 years old now. still the same impeller they gave to me

That was probably the only commercial canister filter available back then, there are a lot of better choices on the market today..

mines three years old. did have to change the o-ring poor me. i like it

i know there are better ones out there. i own better filters. i am commenting on how long the last. they are a well made filter
