mag 350 you could pack it with diatom powder or use the pleated filter to polish water and i dont care what any one says they are the work horses of the canister filters theres nothing fancy about them and the people i know that have love em they just dont quit
magnum vs eheim

I don't really consider the magnum a canister, it's definitely more of a hob. In fact it's filtration is very similar to that of a ac110, in the mold of a pure mechanical/chemical filter. The eheim is mainly a biological filter that is suited for a larger tank due to it's large media capacity and super eheim filter media. Just choose what your tank needs.
I love my magnum! I do not think I would have gone with any other filter at the time... Especially for the price.89must;2840156; said:
