Mahseer eating habits

tell me if other keepers have noticed this... when my young mahseer are eating and theyve ripped of more than they can chew they ram their faces in the gravel to shred down food to a smaller size. i find this funny and beastly at the same time only other fish ive seen do something like this is datnoids. pls share....also has anyone read these books if so are they worth the purchase
