Nope, the black shark never shows any interest in eating anything other than what is meant to be food. The Labeo barbatus that is also in there was smaller than the rainbows when it first went in there. No problems on that score. However, the red tailed chalceus did eat a few rainbows :naughty:

No idea on the country of origin I'm afraid. They do look like very close to tambroides, although a few pics make the snout look more pointed than what I have.

I got them from Maidenhead Aquatics in Derby. They have had them for quite a while but always refused to sell them due to their "Big Fish" policy. I think my persistence (and their need for the tank space) won through in the end :D
 
How old is ya shark? i got a 3" one...n he wont grow...haha

They look like Copper Mahseers, blah blah Hexagoniss(???)
I had a couple killed and ate everything, until i put them in with some big Cichla1:thumbsup:
